About «mosaickr»

This free service allows you to create great mosaics with images from Flickr.

You may use your own sets on Flickr or search for Flickr images with the Creative Commons Attribution license. «mosaickr» uses the Flickr API to fetch personal and public images from the Flickr platform for the composition of the mosaics.

«mosaickr» will notify you by e-mail when your mosaic is ready for download.

Optionally, you can buy a high resolution image for € 0.99 or choose to print it as a poster with a «mosaickr» partner service.

«mosaickr» is also a live testbed studying the processes and algorithms for image analysis and image composition.

It was originally developed by a group of students at the ETH in Zurich (Switzerland) and members of the Computer Vision Laboratory. Today «mosaickr» is run by a small research and development team inside the Switzerland based award winning web agency getunik.

The «mosaickr» platform is the public version of the larger campaign driven mosaic projects by getunik.
